Help takes many forms. You can join God’s adventure
with Interserve by going, praying and giving. But we
also need practical help.
There are many ways that you might be able to help
us and our partners. Here are some possibilities:
Local Church Representatives
We are currently working towards
establishing a network of representatives in local churches
and local promotional groups in Glasgow and Edinburgh.
With help from us they will work to make Interserve's
ministry more widely known. Contact
us if you think this might be God's place for you
in his plan.
Volunteers
There is almost no end to the ways in which people can
help:
Office & Secretarial help
Either at the office, or it might be possible for you
to help in this way from home. Some work requires some
office skills, while other work only requires willing
hands!
Financial Management
Are you an accountant who could get involved in improving
our systems?
Computer Help, Maintenance &
Development
We have a small office team who cannot always be experts
in all that we need to do. Your help, either at the
end of a phone, or in the office can be very helpful.
Office
Maintenance
If you are near our office building in Glasgow and able
to help with ongoing maintenance you can help release
funds and staff time for other important tasks.

Helping Partners
on Home Assignment
Interserve Partners working overseas visit Scotland
from time to time. Can you help with their need while
they are home? For instance:
Accommodation
Singles, couples and families usually do not have a
home in the UK and are looking for short-term accommodation
(usually 3-6 months). Sometimes they are just looking
for a couple of weeks in a particular part of the country
so that they can visit family, friends or churches there.
We would like to build up a list of accommodation that
might be available in all parts of Scotland (and the
rest of Britain). Even if you are going to be away for
just a couple of weeks and would be happy for partners
to say in your house we would love to hear from you.
Holiday accommodation
Partners often find it difficult to afford a much needed
holiday while they are back in Britain. Could you offer
accommodation or other help?
Cars
Can you lend or help provide a car a couple of weeks
or months. It might well make a big difference to one
of our partners. Or perhaps you have the skills for
servicing and repair.
Financial Advice
Financial planning and tax advice can be expensive and
difficult to find for people working overseas. Can you
help?
