Your Legacy

Most of the people in the world today who have not heard about Jesus are from Asia and the Middle East. Interserve’s 600 Partners work among Asian and Middle Eastern peoples in education healthcare and development – helping people in need and sharing the good news.

If you would like to leave a legacy to enable Interserve to continue this vital work, just follow these four simple steps:

1.

Choose a good solicitor to help you write or change your will.

2.

Decide which of the following three types of legacy you wish to leave to Interserve, and choose the relevant phrase for your will:

i.
Residuary Legacy

(Leaving the remainder of your estate to Interserve after all other provisions have been made)

”I give, free of inheritance tax and all other fiscal impositions, all (or a share of) the residue of my estate absolutely to Interserve Scotland, 12 Elm Avenue, Lenzie, Glasgow, G66 4HJ, Registered Charity No. SC 005316, for its general purposes, and I direct that the receipt of   the National Director or other duly authorised officer shall be sufficient discharge to my executors."

ii.
Pecuniary Legacy

(Leaving a fixed amount to Interserve)

"I give Interserve Scotland of 12 Elm Avenue, Lenzie, Glasgow, G66 4HJ, Registered Charity No. SC 005316, the sum of :

£ ………. (in figures)

£ ………. (in words)

for its general purposes, and I direct that the receipt of   the National Director or other duly authorised officer shall be sufficient discharge to my executors.”

Specific Legacy

(leaving a specific item to Interserve)

”I give, free of inheritance tax and all other fiscal impositions, to Interserve Scotland, 12 Elm Avenue, Lenzie, Glasgow, G66 4HJ, Registered Charity No. SC 005316, my (Description of Property) absolutely for its general purposes, and I direct that the receipt of   the National Director or other duly authorised officer shall be sufficient discharge to my executors.”
