arrived in the middle of the night but by 10.00
am the next morning we were on the road to the Bekaa
Valley. By lunch we were ready for our first experience
of shish taouq, felafel and shwarma sandwiches. |

| Our
first stop was the Ammiiq conservation project.
We spent the afternoon visiting the wetland |

| Our second day was spent
with Richard in an extended Bible Study and meditation
on Creation |
 |
 |
| The
next 10 days were spent at Dar El Awlad, a boys
orphanage in Beirut where we were helping run the
summer programme. During the first hour we worked
in pairs with a small group of boys to help with
them with their school work |
 |
| In the second part of
the morning we ran a Bible Club inovolving games,
memory verses, activities etc. |

| In the afternoons we
organised games and other activities at the orphanage
or took the boys on trips out. Swimming was always
popular! |
