Teams

Want to arrange a team from your church or CU or other group? Or do you want to join an existing team?

Interserve (Scotland) organizes one or two teams a year to visit parts of the world where Interserve works. These visits can be organized to suit your group's needs, but normally involve some kind of service in the country and visits to other projects that Interserve and other missions are involved with. The aim is to help you see and understand what is involved in cross-cultural mission.

You can arrange a team from your church or CU or other group, or you may be able to join an existing team. Email us or call us (0141 781 1982) to discuss your ideas.

This summer you could join a team going to a university campus in China. Learn Chinese (beginners welcome!), help students with English, make friends and share your faith.

Team with Chinese students

The team will be joining up with team members from other countries and organizations. This will give team members not only the experience of studying and teaching in China but also of working in an international team.

While on the team you will have an opportunity to make friends with students and teachers through studying Chinese in a local university (in small classes according to your level - and if you are a total beginner you are especially welcome!). After that teach English with your team, helping local students to improve their oral English.

Through these friendships you will have opportunities to share about your faith. Other activities may also include Bible studies with students, helping out and playing with kids in a local orphanage, teaching sports to students, helping out at a student camp run by local believers, and leading worship at Sunday meetings, sightseeing trips and other fun activities.

You will be given orientation before you leave and also once you arrive in China. For more information please email Nicholas. To apply to join the team please attach a completed application form
